The annual Eoin B Casey Medal was established in 2012 to honour Dr Casey who worked in SJH/AMNCH/TCD for nearly 30 years. He had a particular interest in teaching non-consultant hospital doctors.
This is a case presentation competition open to Interns and SHOs in SJH. This year there were 7 applications and the presentations took place on 13th May in the William Stokes Post-Graduate Centre. All presentations were of outstanding quality.
The first prize was awarded to Dr Patrick Hogan and 2nd prize to Dr Noel Donlon.
They will present a summary of their work at Grand Rounds on Friday June 29th at 8am, after which their medals will be presented to them. I would like to extend my particular thanks to Dr Barry O’Shea who assisted in the adjudication.
