Eoin B Casey Award

The Eoin B Casey award was established to enhance awareness of rheumatologic diagnoses amongst young doctors working in St James’s Hospital. Dr Casey is a Rheumatologist who spent over 30 years working in this hospital. He has a special love of teaching and continues to support the Medical Update meeting, held each Wednesday in the William Stokes Post-graduate Centre.

The winners of the inaugural award were Dr Candice Low (SHO) who won first prize and Dr Blaire Mulvey (Intern) who won second place. Each received an engraved medal and a book token.

The 2nd award will be open to applicants in August 2012.
